Beijing, June 24th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, had a group meeting here today with Signe Brudeset, Norwegian Ambassador to China, Thomas Østrup Møller, Danish Ambassador to China, and Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Finnish Ambassador to China, who were about to leave the post.
Lu expressed his gratitude to the three ambassadors for their efforts in and contributions to promoting bilateral relations between their respective countries and China, as well as inter-party exchanges during their tenure. He noted that although China and the three countries are geographically distant and differ in development stage, history, culture, and social system, they have a long history of friendly exchanges with China and all advocate for multilateralism in today’s world. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of the three countries, China's bilateral relations with the three countries have shown good momentum, with expanding cooperation in various fields. The Chinese side is willing to work with the three countries to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders and the significant outcomes of President Xi’s visit to Europe, and to continue enhancing bilateral relations and China-Europe relations. The CPC is also willing to strengthen exchanges with the main political parties of the three countries to solidify the political foundation of bilateral relations.
The ambassadors of the three countries to China stated that the relations between their countries and China are maintaining positive development momentum, with frank, deep, and friendly dialogue between political parties. The three countries are willing to strengthen exchanges with the Chinese side on policy and concept, expand cooperation in economy, trade, and green development, enhance inter-party exchanges, deepen the friendship between people, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs, and improve bilateral relations while deepening Europe-China exchanges and cooperation.
During the meeting, Lu and the three ambassadors also exchanged views on international and regional hotspot issues of common concern.
