Beijing, October 16th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of African think tanks and media outlets led by Shedrack Mwakalila, Rector of the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy.
Li gave an in-depth briefing on the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and introduced the outcomes of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the African side to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and African leaders, deepen inter-party exchanges as well as think tank and media cooperation, jointly tell the story of China-Africa solidarity and cooperation well, and promote the building of an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
Mwakalila admired the great achievements of Chinese modernization, saying that the decision of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee on further deepening reform comprehensively and promoting Chinese modernization will bring new opportunities for Africa's development and revitalization, and 10 partnership actions for China and Africa to advance modernization proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 2024 FOCAC Summit in Beijing are highly in line with Africa's development needs. African political parties, think tanks and media outlets are willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, enhance people-to-people bonds, and contribute wisdom and strength to the in-depth development of Africa-China relations.
