Beijing, October 29th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with a youth delegation from the King Prajadhipok's Institute (KPI) of Thailand.
Sun said, China and Thailand are good neighbors, good relatives and good partners. Next year, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The development and inheritance of China-Thailand relations cannot be separated from the continuous efforts of the younger generations of the two countries. It is hoped that the two sides will further intensify people-to-people and cultural exchanges, especially friendly exchanges between the youth. The CPC is willing to further strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation with Thai political parties, academic institutions, and youth groups, and play a positive role in promoting the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-Thailand relations.
The Thai side positively evaluated the development achievements China has made under the leadership of the CPC, as well as the sound development momentum of Thailand-China relations in recent years. They expressed that the King Prajadhipok's Institute is willing to actively promote cultural and academic exchanges between the two countries, enhance mutual understanding and recognition among the youth of the two countries, and make greater contributions to the special friendship between the two countries as close as one family.
