From December 8th to 11th, Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit the headquarters of the European Union (EU). He met with leaders of institutions of the EU, political parties, and think tanks, as well as leaders of political parties and the Federal Parliament of Belgium. Ma expressed that China and the EU should uphold their partnership, respect each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen communication and dialogue, and promote China-EU relations for sustained, stable and healthy development. The EU side stated that the EU attaches importance to developing relations with China and is willing to conduct more dialogues and mutually beneficial cooperation with China to jointly respond to global challenges.
