Sun Haiyan Meets with a Delegation of Young Cadres of Nepali Congress Party

Beijing, December 26th——Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with a delegation of young cadres of Nepali Congress Party, led by Sita Gurung, leader of the Party and Member of the House of Representatives of Nepal. 


Sun spoke positively of the good development momentum of China-Nepal relations, saying that with the successful visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the leaders of the two countries reached important consensus on deepening China-Nepal friendly cooperation under the new situation. The CPC is willing to work with the Nepali Congress Party and other major political parties of Nepal to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, carry forward traditional friendship, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and forge closer China-Nepal relations. 

Gurung thanked the IDCPC for inviting the delegation of the Nepali Congress Party to visit China, and said that the Nepali Congress Party attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and supports the implementation of the Framework for Belt and Road Cooperation between the two Governments. She looked forward to deepening friendly exchanges with the CPC, helping strengthen cooperation in various fields such as infrastructure, direct flights, tourism, culture, and border trade between Nepal and China, and promoting the continuous development of bilateral relations.
