Beijing, January 13th—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) of India.
Jin said, as two neighboring ancient civilizations and major developing countries, China and India shoulder the important task of promoting the common development of the Global South and the mankind at large. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Indian side to follow the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as think tanks, shape a correct strategic understanding, and help bilateral relations develop along a healthy and stable track.
The Indian side said, India and China should jointly promote Eastern philosophy and wisdom, enhance mutual understanding and strategic mutual trust, and promote bilateral relations for further improvement. Scholars of Indian think tanks are willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side and offer suggestions for the healthy and stable development of India-China relations.
