From March 3rd to 11th, Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Norway, Denmark and the United Kingdom (UK) upon invitation.
In Norway, the CPC delegation met and exchanged views with Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ine Eriksen Søreide, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, members of major political parties and scholars from think tanks, and promoted Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy in an in-depth manner.
In Denmark, the CPC delegation met and exchanged views with Magnus Heunicke, Minister for Environment and Gender Equality, Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, leaders of political parties, think tank scholars and representatives of university students, and explained Xi Jinping's thoughts on state governance and the Global Security Initiative.
In the UK, the CPC delegation met and exchanged views with Jenny Chapman, Minister of State (International Development, Latin America and Caribbean) in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Nick Catsaras, Prime Minister's Deputy National Security Advisor, Members of Parliament and leaders of major political parties, media outlets and think tanks, and visited universities and the Eric Liddell Community, mainly explaining the three global initiatives.
Leaders of the political parties of the three countries expressed their willingness to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of their countries and China, strengthen inter-party exchanges, enhance cooperation in green development, trade, culture and other fields, practice multilateralism, promote the development of the relations between respective countries and China and China-European Union (EU) relations, and jointly respond to global challenges.
