Beijing, April 27th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of mayors and municipal leaders of left-wing political parties of Spain at request. The delegation was led by Gerardo Pisarello, First Secretary of the Congress of Deputies.
Speaking positively of bilateral relations, Ma expressed that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Spain. China is willing to work with Spain to strengthen political dialogue and strategic communication in the turbulent international situation, jointly safeguard the international rules and order and multilateralism, expand China-Spain practical cooperation, and create a model of bilateral relations based on mutual respect, openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with all parties in Spain, learn from each other in state governance and party building, and promote sub-national cooperation and the development of bilateral relations through inter-party channels.
Pisarello said, we are deeply impressed by the remarkable developmental achievements China has made under the leadership of the CPC. A growing and prospering China has injected stability into today's turbulent world. Sharing similar values and common goals with the CPC, left-wing political parties in Spain stand ready to enhance exchanges between the two countries across all levels, boost Europe-China friendship and cooperation, and work with China to uphold international fairness and justice while safeguarding global peace and stability.
