From July 23rd to 24th, Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Costa Rica. During the visit, he met with Arnoldo Andre Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, Lydia Maria Peralta Cordero, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, and Rebecca Lemos Igreja, Secretary-General of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). Ma also attended a seminar marking the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and Costa Rica. Ma said, China attaches importance to its relations with Costa Rica and is willing to enhance dialogue and exchanges to promote the healthy development of bilateral relations. Costa Rica reaffirmed its commitment to the one-China principle and expressed its willingness to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
