Beijing, July 31st—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Sean Stein, President of the US-China Business Council (USCBC). Lu introduced the spirit of the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on July 30th and welcomed the US business community to pay attention to the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to be held in October this year. Lu emphasized that China's policy towards the US remains continuous and steady. China is willing to work with the US to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US relations. It is hoped that the US business community will continue to play a constructive role and introduce the real China and the CPC to all sectors in the US.
Sean Stein said, a stable China–US relationship is essential for the US business community's business operation in China. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to resolve differences and strengthen cooperation through dialogue. The USCBC is willing to continue to play an active role in enhancing mutual understanding between the US and China.
