On July 31st, the United Russia Party held a meeting of the standing committee of the Forum of Supporters of the Struggle Against Modern Practices of Neocolonialism "For the Freedom of Nations". Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the United Russia Party and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, attended and addressed the meeting. Political heavyweights from nearly 20 countries and international organizations attended the meeting. Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech via video link. 

The participants in the meeting said in their speeches that colonialism in new forms and means is constantly threatening world peace and development. Political parties of all countries should strengthen exchanges and cooperation to safeguard international fairness and justice. Many representatives expressed their appreciation and expectations for China's efforts to build a fair and reasonable international order.
