Jin Xin Meets with Morris Simon Batali, Newly-appointed Ambassador of South Sudan to China

Beijing, August 26th—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Morris Simon Batali, the newly-appointed Ambassador of South Sudan to China.  


Jin welcomed Morris on his assumption of the new post in China. Jin said, China attaches great importance to developing China-South Sudan relations and is willing to work with South Sudan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other, and deepen practical cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges. The CPC is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with the Sudan People's Liberation Movement and continuously enrich the connotation of the China-South Sudan strategic partnership. 

Morris said, South Sudan adheres to the one-China principle and appreciates the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the three global initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping. South Sudan expresses gratitude to China for the long-term and valuable support and hopes that China will increase investment in South Sudan and expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as oil, infrastructure, agriculture, and health. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement is ready to increase mutual visits with the CPC, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, and promote the development of bilateral relations. 

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern.
