Beijing, September 11th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with Kamran Tessori, leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of Pakistan and Governor of Sindh Province.
Sun said, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reached important consensus on building an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future, providing important strategic guidance for the development of bilateral relations. The CPC is willing to work together with friendly political parties in Pakistan, including the MQM, to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote cooperation in various fields, facilitate sub-national communication and exchanges, and play a demonstrative role in building a community with a shared future among neighboring countries.
Tessori congratulated China on successfully hosting the SCO Summit and the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He said, the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries injects strong momentum into the development of the Pakistan-China relationship. The MQM hopes to intensify communication and exchanges with the CPC to promote new progress in cooperation between Sindh Province and China.
