Li Mingxiang Meets with a Delegation of the Union for the Republic of Togo

Beijing, September 11th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Georges Barcola, Member of the Political Bureau of the Union for the Republic (UNIR) of Togo and Minister of Economy and Finance. 


Li introduced the relevant situation of the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, elaborated on the Global Governance Initiative, and gave a positive evaluation of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. He said that the CPC is willing to work with the UNIR to take the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Faure Gnassingbé as guidance, strengthen high-level strategic communication, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, promote cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and constantly push China-Togo comprehensive strategic partnership to new highs. 

Barcola said, Togo and China enjoy a traditional friendship. Togo will adhere to the one-China principle and firmly support the Belt and Road cooperation and the four major global initiatives. The UNIR looks forward to developing institutionalized exchanges with the CPC, and learning from the CPC's experience in party building and state governance, so as to lead Togo to achieve greater success in national construction and development.
