Ma Hui Meets with a Delegation of Scholars from BRI Think Tanks

Beijing, September 11th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of scholars from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) think tanks led by Adrian Severin, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Foreign Minister of Romania. 


Ma elaborated on the four major global initiatives proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and introduced the achievements of China's economic and social development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). He said, China will continue to promote opening up to the outside world, facilitate global trade liberalization and facilitation, and inject more stability and certainty into global development. 

The foreign guests highly appraised the significant meaning of the four major global initiatives, recognized China's important contributions to maintaining peace, and commended China's remarkable achievements in high-quality development, opening up and cooperation. They also expressed their willingness to enhance exchanges and dialogues with China and deepen cooperation between think tanks.
