Beijing, March 18th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Torgeir Larsen, Secretary General of Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lu said, in recent years, China-Norway relations have maintained steady and sound development, and practical cooperation has achieved important results. The fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress of China, which concluded last week, approved the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), China will focus on expanding domestic demand, innovation-driven development and green transformation, and inject stability and certainty into the world with high-quality development and high-level opening up, providing more opportunities for practical cooperation between China and Norway. At present, the international situation is complex and volatile. Both China and Norway adhere to multilateralism and free trade and should further strengthen communication and cooperation to jointly address global challenges. The CPC is willing to continue to strengthen exchanges with Norwegian major political parties and young politicians.
Larsen said, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches importance to the good working relationship with the IDCPC. Currently, Norway-China relations maintain good development momentum. Norway highly appreciates China's remarkable development achievements and is willing to seize the opportunities brought by China's 15th Five-Year Plan to deepen practical cooperation between the two countries. China is increasingly becoming a stabilizer of the international community, and Norway is ready to strengthen communication with China to jointly safeguard multilateralism and free trade.
The two sides also exchanged in-depth views on international and regional issues of common concern.
Vebjoern Dysvik, Norwegian Ambassador to China, attended the meeting.
