Ma Hui Meets with a Delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy

Beijing, March 25thMa Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy led by Giulio Tremonti, Chairman of the Committee. 


Ma spoke highly of China-Italy relations, stating that the CPC is willing to enhance dialogue and exchanges with major Italian political parties, increase mutual understanding and trust, and promote the healthy and stable development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy, so as to inject more certainty into the unstable world with the stability of China-Italy relations. 

The Italian side expressed that Italy attaches great importance to developing relations with China. The world is currently undergoing unprecedented changes. Italy is willing to enhance strategic communication with China, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, jointly address global challenges, and promote the development of Italy-China and Europe-China relations towards mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. 

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern. 

Massimo Ambrossetti, Italian Ambassador to China, attended the meeting.
