Beijing, July 1st—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended here today on the morning the symposium for Chinese and foreign youth themed "Original Aspirations of Political Parties——Dialogue with Young Neighbors from Southeast Asia." The symposium was attended by youth cadres of political parties from Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia, as well as youth representatives of the IDCPC.

Ma noted, the CPC is celebrating in grand style the 105th anniversary of its founding today. On this occasion of special significance, he was delighted to have this exchange and discussion with the participants. Over the past century, the CPC has led the long-tested Chinese nation in achieving a historic leap from standing up to growing prosperous to becoming strong, and has delivered achievements that have captured the world's attention. Ma offered an in-depth reading of the success code of the CPC as a century-old major party, drawing on multiple dimensions including the Party's governance philosophy, value pursuits, political strengths and spiritual core. He stressed, since the new era, General Secretary Xi Jinping has led the Chinese Communists in addressing the major question of the times: "What kind of long-term Marxist governing party should be built and how such a Party should be built," and put forward a series of new concepts, new thoughts and new strategies, thereby formulating Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. The CPC is ready to deepen the exchange of party governance and state governance experience with political parties of Southeast Asian countries, promote practical cooperation across various fields, work together to build a community with a shared future with neighboring countries, and jointly create a better future.

The foreign participants warmly congratulated the CPC on its 105th anniversary. They noted that China's remarkable achievements in such areas as modernization, whole-process people's democracy, primary-level governance, scientific and technological innovation, and poverty alleviation stem from the Party's ability to always put the people first, uphold fundamental principles while breaking new ground, dare to tackle tough challenges, and have the courage to conduct self-reform. The political parties expressed their readiness to learn from the valuable experience of the CPC in state governance and party governance, tackle challenges together, and promote common prosperity.

The Chinese and foreign youth representatives engaged in friendly exchanges around the theme of the symposium.
Invited by the IDCPC, a seminar for youth cadres of political parties from four Southeast Asian countries, including Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia, visited China in late June.
