A thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC: Hubei's Achievements in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in a New Era", commenced on May 30, 2023, in Wuhan. Jointly hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, the briefing was themed with "Chinese Modernization: New Thinking to Break New Ground", with the aim of showcasing the tremendous momentum that the CPC has injected into China's development and the fresh opportunities it offers to countries worldwide. 

This event marked the largest and highest-level international gathering with most foreign political parties in Hubei in recent years. Over 170 party leaders or representatives from nearly 30 countries attended the event offline. The briefing was also live-streamed globally in multiple languages, including English, French, and Arabic, reaching political parties around the world.  

People is of utmost importance, said Ziad Shadeed, director general of the General Administration of Civil Servants Affairs of Palestine when giving an interview to the Chinese media, including www.thepaper.cn. Only by effectively realizing, safeguarding, and advancing the fundamental interests of the majority can we ultimately achieve humanity's noble aspirations. China has successfully accomplished this, he noted.  

Ziad Shadeed praised China's modernization model as an excellent one for other nations and a clear roadmap for those undergoing their own modernization reforms. China's exemplary achievements in technology and infrastructure have set the bar for other countries striving for modernization. Moreover, China's contributions to global peace and security have brought prosperity and well-being to people worldwide, he remarked.  

Reflecting on his visit to Hubei, the director general marveled at the remarkable ecological environment he encountered. He said that after their plane touched down in Wuhan, all the way from the airport to the hotel, he was struck by the breathtaking ecological environment here, with crystal clear rivers, green landscape and fresh air. The CPC has managed to combine economic development with environmental protection, making tourists from all over the world yearn for China.
