On May 30th, a thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC: Hubei's Achievements in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in a New Era" was held in Wuhan, which is jointly hosted by the IDCPC and the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee. The theme of this thematic briefing is "Chinese Modernization: New Thinking to Break New Ground", which showcased how the CPC has propelled Chinese modernization, injecting strong momentum into China's development and offering new opportunities for growth to nations worldwide.  

This event marked the largest and highest-level international gathering with most foreign political parties in Hubei in recent years. Over 170 party leaders or representatives from nearly 30 countries attended the event offline. The briefing was also live-streamed globally in multiple languages, including English, French, and Arabic, reaching political parties around the world.  

In an interview with Chinese media outlet, including www.thepaper.cn, Alexander Paunov, First Secretary of the Bulgarian Communist Party, expressed his pleasure in witnessing the Chinese people demonstrate under the leadership of the CPC that socialism has a promising future. He noted that the socialist economic model is feasible and effective, and socialism not only has a glorious past and a successful present, as evidenced by China, but it also has a promising future.  

This visit marks Paunov’s second trip to Hubei since 2011. He said, Hubei has undergone tremendous changes in various areas, including transportation, technology, and culture. He pointed out that achievements in high technology, medicine, and healthcare are typical examples of the successful practice of Chinese modernization.  

Alexander Paunov emphasized that the leadership of the CPC is the key to China’s developmental achievement. Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people are truly happy.
