Song Tao Meets with Mongolian Senior and Intermediate Leading Cadre Study Group

Beijing, March 30th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the senior and intermediate leading cadre study group of Mongolia led by Gombojavyn Zandanshatar, Member of the Leadership Council of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) and Director of the General Office.

Song spoke positively of the MPP for always upholding friendly policies toward China for a long time, which made positive efforts to the development of China-Mongolia relations. The CPC and the Chinese government always attach great importance to developing China-Mongolia relations. Mongolia is an important country along the “Belt and Road” route, and China is willing to further boost the docking of development strategies between both countries, and promote China-Mongolia practical cooperation in all fields for tangible results. Song also expressed that the CPC stands ready to, together with the MPP, continuously enhance experience communication on party governance and state administration, and cement friendly communication between the two parties at all levels to elevate China-Mongolia relations which are led by new development and new achievements of relations between both parties to a new level.

Song also briefed on the situation of the just-concluded “Two Sessions”, and said that China will comprehensively implement the strategic employment made at the 19th CPC National Congress under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

On behalf of the MPP and the Mongolian government, Zandanshatar warmly congratulated China on the successful convening of the “Two Sessions” and General Secretary Xi Jinping on his election as President of the People’s Republic of China. Zandanshatar expressed that Mongolia always puts the development of relations with China as its priority of diplomatic strategy, and is willing to further deepen the existing friendly cooperative relations between the MPP and the CPC, promote cooperation in practical fields between the two countries, speed up the docking of development strategies, and boost cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative for continuous and new outcomes.

Both sides also exchanged views on jointly welcoming the 2021, which marks the 100 anniversary of the building of both the CPC and the MPP with colorful party-to-party activities.
