Beijing, November 11th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi, Pakistani Ambassador to China.

Liu said, China and Pakistan are ironclad friends. In recent years, the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership has steadily advanced under the guidance of the head-of-state diplomacy. The exchanges between the political parties of the two countries have played a positive role in enhancing strategic communication and mutual trust. The CPC is willing to work with Pakistani political parties to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders, strengthen communication and cooperation through inter-party channels, deepen the alignment of development strategies, promote cooperation in areas such as the Belt and Road cooperation, enhance people-to-people bonds, and accelerate the building of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. The fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has adopted the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, which will bring new and important opportunities for China-Pakistan cooperation.
Hashmi said, Pakistan congratulates the successful convening of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and thanks the IDCPC for holding a briefing for foreign diplomatic envoys in China. Pakistan firmly believes that China will achieve high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), which will provide more opportunities for countries including Pakistan. The ironclad friendship between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of international changes and remains unbreakable and ever-lasting. In the face of a changing and turbulent international situation, the two sides should continue to make good use of communication mechanisms at all levels, enhance strategic mutual trust, and promote cooperation in various fields. The Pakistani Embassy in China is willing to maintain close cooperation with the IDCPC and strengthen institutionalized exchanges between the political parties, think tanks and youth of the two sides.
