Beijing, May 22nd—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the morning with the cadre study group of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Portugal, which is headed by Jose David Justino, SDP Vice President.

Qian expressed that valuing its relations with the SDP, the CPC is willing to further enhance dialogues and exchanges between the two parties in various fields, enhance mutual understanding and mutual trust, and jointly promote China-Portugal relations for development at higher levels.

Justino congratulated China on the great achievements in its development and construction, and expressed that the SDP will continue to play an active role, and make contributions to promoting China-Portugal cooperation in various fields as well as the friendship between the two peoples.
