China-CEEC Ruling Parties Roundtable Held in Beijing

Beijing, November 18th—the China-CEEC Ruling Parties Roundtable organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee was held here today. At the roundtable, Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, positively evaluated the great progress of the cooperation between China CEEC. He emphasized that the friendly exchanges between the CPC and the CEEC political parties have laid a solid political foundation for the rapid development of the "17+1 cooperation," and expressed China's willingness to work with all parties to give full play to the role of political parties as the source of national and foreign policy decisions, focus on the guidance of political parties in direction, philosophy, cognition, responsibility and pattern, and promote the future development of the "17+1 cooperation" to have a diamond effect and become an important pillar of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Foreign participants said that in recent years, the exchanges between political parties in China and CEEC have maintained a good momentum of development, and expressed their willingness to further strengthen strategic communication through inter-party channels, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, consolidate the public opinion foundation, and expand pragmatic cooperation, so as to make positive contributions to the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the new and constant progress of the "17+1 cooperation" under its framework. The delegates highly appreciated the development achievements and global influence of the People's Republic of China in the past 70 years since its founding, and looked forward to a thorough understanding of the CPC'S successful experience in state governance and administration.
