On April 15, a relevant principal official of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) spoke on the phone with Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, leader of the Mexican Labor Party, introducing China's epidemic prevention experience and practices against the COVID-19 outbreak as well as the main tasks facing China, and extending gratitude to the Mexican Labor Party for sending the letter of sympathies to the Chinese side at the first time and signing a joint appeal for international cooperation on combating the epidemic initiated by the CPC. Both sides also exchanged views on the exchanges between the two Parties from now on to a period in the future.

Anaya expressed that since the onset of the coronavirus break, the CPC, Chinese government and people have responded to the epidemic in an effective manner and China’s domestic epidemic prevention and control work has achieved remarkable results. China's anti-epidemic efforts have won time for global epidemic prevention and control, and it has also provided confidence for countries around the world to defeat the epidemic. While achieving its victory in the fight against the disease, China has actively shared its experience with the international community and extended assistance to many countries, including Mexico. The Mexican side expressed its sincere gratitude to this end. A friend in need is a friend indeed. The friendship between Mexico and China that experienced this epidemic will surely be further strengthened. The Labor Party is willing to further strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and promote the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Mexico and China.
