Beijing, June 27th—Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), held here today on the afternoon a working meeting with Valaxay Lengsavad, Deputy Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.
Zhao said, under the strategic guidance and personal promotion of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, China-Laos relations are at the best period in history. This year is the first year to implement the new five-year action plan on building a China-Laos community with a shared future. The IDCPC is willing to have close exchanges and cooperation with the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations to strengthen coordination and cooperation, actively contribute to the implementation of the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, and promote the building of a community with a shared future between China and Laos for new results.
Valaxay noted, the Lao side is willing to work with the Chinese side to take the implementation of the new five-year action plan of building a Laos-China community with a shared future as the main line, deepen inter-party exchanges, strengthen strategic communication and exchanges and mutual learning, promote practical cooperation in various fields, and jointly build a high-standard, high-quality, high-level Laos-China community with a shared future.
Both sides also exchanged in-depth views on international and regional issues of common concern.
