Ma Hui Attends the Dialogue on China-Italy Relations

Beijing, July 23rdThe International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and the Parliamentary Association "Friends of China" of Italy held here today the dialogue on China-Italy Relations. Ma Hui, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, and Vinicio Peluffo, President of the Parliamentary Association "Friends of China" of Italy, attended and addressed the dialogue. About 50 representatives from political, business and academic circles of China and Italy attended the event and had in-depth discussions around the theme of "mutual trust, win-win cooperation, shared future." 


Ma said, China-Italy cooperation has a solid foundation and broad prospects. The third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was successfully held. China will strengthen equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries in the world in a more open manner. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Italian side to tap into the profound wisdom of the two ancient civilizations, focus on mutually beneficial cooperation, cultivate new growth points, and make positive contributions to the development of China-Europe relations and world peace and stability. 

The Italian side noted, Italy-China friendship has a long history. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy and the 700th anniversary of the death of Marco Polo. The Italian side is ready to take this opportunity to strengthen dialogue with the Chinese side on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results, deepen cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and jointly respond to global challenges.
