Beijing, May 21st—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations (SCFR) of Iran led by Ali Ahani, senior advisor to the Chairman of the SCFR.   

Speaking positively about China-Iran relations, Chen said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Iranian side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, and push China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership for greater development. 

Ahani said, the Iranian side will continue to firmly support the Chinese side on issues concerning China's core interests, including the Taiwan question, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between the two sides, and jointly write a new chapter in Iran-China cooperation.
