Beijing, January 8th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Enrique Santiago, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Spain.
Ma spoke positively of the relations between the two parties and countries, saying that the CPC is willing to deepen traditional friendship with the Communist Party of Spain, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on state and party governance, enhance political mutual trust between China and Spain and deepen pragmatic cooperation between the two countries through inter-party channels, and promote mutual understanding between the two peoples. It is hoped that the Communist Party of Spain will play a positive role in promoting the sound and stable development of China-Spain and China-Europe relations.
Santiago said, the Communist Party of Spain appreciates the economic and social achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC and is willing to further strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, continuously deepen China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership and jointly contribute to world peace and stability.
