Beijing, May 26th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Moeti Mohwasa, Head of Communications in the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) and Minister for State President of Botswana.
Li said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Botswana 50 years ago, the relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of international changes and has always maintained good development momentum. The CPC is willing to work with the UDC to follow the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen high-level exchanges and strategic communication, enhance exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and push the in-depth development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Mohwasa said, China is a good friend and partner of Botswana on its road to development and prosperity. The UDC firmly supports the one-China principle and looks forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, and learning development experience from China to push practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries to a new level.
